Construction is well underway, and the end is insight!

Updated: Feb 26, 2023

We are truly blessed and despite the supply chain issues and ever-increasing high prices, the Tasting Room and Winery continue on a positive path. It has been a challenge though, oh and did I mention all the rain we have had this winter! Mother nature sure does put her spin on things. However, it is really cool to see the progress and how this is really shaping up. If you’re in the area (475 Groce Road, Ronda NC 28670) drive by and see the progress. All of the electrical and plumbing has been roughed in and the insulation is being installed in the interior of the Tasting Room and then we can begin the interior detail work. We have begun picking the interior finishes. Working with a local saw mill we have 3 slabs of live edge pecan which will be our bar top. We have also picked up some other live edge slabs that we are sanding and finishing for tabletops. Picture a lot of wood and rustic finishes. It’s exciting to be at this point of construction. The Winery is also shaping up fine. While the winery building shell is completed, we will be pouring the rest of the cement for the crush pad and back patio. For both buildings the siding will be going up in parallel with the interior work. In addition to the construction, we have begun to lay out the vineyard expansion for our final planting of grapes for a while. Line posts are installed, and end posts will be forthcoming. This year we will plant Tannat (French red grape), Petit Manseng (French white grape) and Tocai Friulano (A white Italian grape). And finally, we have been focused on blending trials of our wine to begin bottling as we work towards our opening. All of this is going on for our targeted Grand Opening of November 18, 2023! Yes, we have put a stake in the ground and are greatly anticipating this event.
